Support, Education and Awareness

Astellas supports public education and disease awareness programs that seek to contribute to health promotion in a number of therapeutic areas.

In 2009, Astellas Pharma Canada, Inc. invested over $5 million to assist in educational grants and programs as well as provides donations to various charitable organizations. Astellas is committed to giving back to the communities in which our employees live and work, and generously donates to various community organizations.

Astellas’ social and ethical conduct can be seen on a daily basis through the nature of our business and professional relationships, in broader engagements at the local, regional and national levels, as well as in the development of innovative and award-winning community-based educational initiatives that have been made possible through Astellas.

Astellas has been involved in the development of many award-winning community based educational initiatives such as: The Eczema Awareness Support and Education (EASE) program, Psoriasis Support Canada, Transplant Companions and The Powder Room.
